Contemporary Design

Brett Martin Flat Glass is a sleek, contemporary rooflight for flat roofs, designed to bring natural daylight into modern homes, extensions and commercial buildings without the raised profile of a traditional lantern.

With a slim powder coated aluminium frame, flush-fitting glass panel, fixed and opening options, strong thermal performance and BBA approval, it is a practical and stylish choice for projects where clean design, safety and reliable performance all matter.

A Clean, Modern Rooflight for Flat Roofs
Slim, secure and thermally efficient glazing for extensions, renovations and new-build projects.

Brett Martin Flat Glass has been designed as a modern alternative to bulkier roof glazing. Its slim aluminium frame and flush glass panel create a neat external appearance while allowing daylight to drop cleanly into the room below. The result is a rooflight that works particularly well in modern kitchen extensions, open-plan living areas and contemporary refurbishments.

The range gives you several specification routes. It can be mounted directly to a prepared builder’s upstand, supplied with a standard 150mm PVCu kerb, or supplied with a taller 300mm kerb where extra height is required for refurbishment projects.

Fixed, vented, manual opening and powered opening options mean the product can be tailored to the way the room will be used. Performance is a major part of the appeal.

Fixed Brett Martin Flat Glass rooflights have BBA approval, Secured by Design accreditation and non-fragility testing when installed to manufacturer guidance.

The laminated inner pane also supports overhead safety, making this a strong option for domestic and commercial flat roof projects where quality and reassurance matter.

Benefits

Flat Glass is one of the most versatile rooflights in the Brett Martin range. It offers the clean appearance that many homeowners and architects prefer on contemporary extensions, while still providing practical choices around ventilation, kerb height, colour and glass specification.

It is especially well suited to kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, landings and living spaces where extra daylight is needed but the roofline needs to remain simple and understated.

Fixed options provide a strong, low-maintenance daylight solution, while manual and powered opening options can help improve ventilation in selected spaces.

Flat Glass Sizes, Kerbs and Opening Options
Choose the size, kerb, ventilation, operation and finish to suit the project.

Brett Martin Flat Glass is available in a broad range of square and rectangular sizes, with standard sizes and bespoke options available.

It can be supplied as a glazed unit for a builder’s upstand, with a standard 150mm PVCu kerb, or with a 300mm tall PVCu kerb for projects where additional roof build-up or refurbishment insulation needs to be accommodated.

Opening options include manual opening and powered opening with wall switch, remote control or rain sensor control.

Ventilation can also be incorporated through manual hit-and-miss trickle ventilation or automatic humidity-controlled ventilation where a PVC kerb is specified.

The powder coated aluminium frame is available in RAL 7016 grey or RAL 9005 black, with solar control, tinted and obscure glass options available on request.

Made-to-Measure Rooflight Pricing
Flat Glass rooflights are specified around your roof opening and project requirements.

Pricing depends on size, fixed or opening operation, kerb type, glazing choice, frame colour and whether ventilation, security grille or control accessories are required.

View Glazing can help you compare the options and provide a quotation based on your project drawings or roof opening measurements.

For best results, confirm the roof build-up, pitch, internal ceiling detail and access requirements before ordering. This ensures the rooflight, kerb and glazing specification are correct for the property and installation conditions.
