VELFAC tilt-and-turn windows are designed for projects where inward opening, secure ventilation and safe cleaning from inside are important. Part of the VELFAC In system, they tilt inwards for everyday ventilation and open inwards up to 90° for cleaning and access.
They are particularly useful for upper floors, French balcony arrangements, apartments, townhouses, basement windows and multi-storey buildings. With 48mm triple glazing, composite wood/aluminium construction and a slim VELFAC appearance designed to work alongside VELFAC 200, they provide a practical alternative to outward-opening windows where the building design calls for inward operation.

VELFAC tilt-and-turn windows are part of the VELFAC In range, an inward-opening wood/aluminium system developed for buildings where internal cleaning access, ventilation and multi-storey practicality are important.
The window has two main modes: a tilt position for controlled ventilation and a side-hung inward opening position for cleaning. In tilt mode, the sash provides an approximate 30mm ventilation gap, helping fresh air enter the room without the window being fully open. In turn mode, the sash opens inwards up to 90°, allowing the exterior glass surface to be reached safely from inside. This is particularly valuable on upper floors, basement rooms, apartments, corridors and French balcony situations.
VELFAC In is triple glazed only and is designed to work alongside VELFAC 200. This allows homeowners and architects to combine outward-opening windows on most elevations with inward-opening tilt-and-turn units where the building needs them.
The result is a flexible specification that supports indoor comfort, cleaning access and architectural consistency.

VELFAC tilt-and-turn windows are available as 1-leaf units or 2-leaf French casement configurations.
They are made to measure and specified around the room use, elevation, access requirements and the wider VELFAC window schedule.
The system is supplied with 48mm triple glazing and can be adapted with project-specific glass where acoustic control, privacy, solar gain or safety are important.
External aluminium can be finished in a wide choice of colours and surface finishes, while internal timber can be painted or lacquered to suit the interior.
The three-function aluminium handle controls closing, tilt ventilation and inward side-hung opening. A 90° opening restrictor is included, with further handle, restrictor and ventilation options available depending on the project specification.
